Some Fantasy Football Insights

First off I just have to give out some "good jobs" and maybe a "nice pick" or two just to get things going:

Nice Pick #1 goes to (drumroll)  . . .  Brian Hawkins for his exceptional pick of Plaxico Burress.  Not only did you select a hard working, healthy player; but you also selected one hell of a model American, and someone that I want my future children to look up too.  Nice pick Hawkins.

Another thing, yes Chris, Tom Brady did go down in the first few seconds of the season, but I really expected you to bounce back.  I am very disapointed in you Christopher even though you did manage to steal Turner in a later round.  However, you should have listened you your gut with Jamal Lewis.  Very disappointing Chris.

I must, however, offer high praise to one Zach Yelton.  How he does it, none of us will ever know, but you have to give the man some credit. I sometimes think I am dreaming when I get online Tuesday morning only to find out that Zach has been gotten on at 6:00AM picking up that TE he needs.  When you traded Willie Parker and Randy Moss for Larry Fitzgerald and Frank Gore there was not one among us who did not think you were an idiot. On behalf of all of us Zach, I apologize.  Frank and Larry so far have put up 320 points for you, while Willie and Randy have put up 204 for Brink.  Nice trade Zach . . . sorry Brink.  Although I still do not know what you were thinking when you offered me Thomas Jones and Ravens D in return for Antonio Gates and Pitt's D.  Oh well,  I will take it.

Then we come to the lowest winning percentage fantasy player over the past 3 seasons . . . John Harris . . . sorry man.  John yes you got screwed with Tony Romo hurting his pinkie nail.  You really do have decent starters, but John your bench is horrible.  Plus we all thought you learned your lesson about drafting rookie running backs.  At least you didn't take him first round like . . . . well we won't re-live that tragedy.  My prediction for next year . . . John will almost make the playoffs.

  1. 1. If I even make the playoffs this year, I should be a shoo in for GM of the Year. Picture this scenario: after as solid draft, I shore up my roster even more after trading Frank Fumbles and a sidekick for the Best Receiver in the Game and a star running back (who in his first game, before being injured, had 3 touchdowns). That's when my year turned sour. Randy's season goes down the tubes with Tom's injury, Willie gets injured halfway into the third game of the year, and my 3rd Rd draft pick, Colston, breaks his finger. I drafted Alge Crumpler for my tight end (can't win 'em all), and thought I had a solid 1-2 QB tandem with DAnderson and MHasselbeck. Whoops. And I still have a shot at the playoffs? Playoffs? Hawkins and I should be in opposite places.

Second, go back and look at those waiver wire pickups. Zach got up at 6CST cause his grown ass has to be at work at 8EST. My dedicated ass was clicking away at 3AM on some nights. Who did I pick up? Chris Johnson. Titans D/ST. DeSean Jackson. Owen Daniels. Matt Cassel. Ho hum. Guess when you're an amazing GM people don't appreciate consistent excellence.

So that's all. O, Perry Boys...you better hope I don't make the playoffs. I'll take all 3 of you down if I have to.

    Call the engraver...it's spell B R I N K.

  2. Yeah well, pretty much my #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, #9 picks were all awful...but yeah, Plax shot himself, so i guess that takes the cake.

  3. I am going to pat myself on the back and say the best pickup of the year was by yours truly in Tyler Thigpen
